A Non-Toxic, Environmentally Safe Fire Retardant

This solution is formulated to make 100% synthetics – such as polyester as well as mixed synthetic & natural fibers and 75% synthetic with a 25% mix of viscose fabric fire retardant.

IMP-ST is an extremely effective fire retardant liquid that is an odorless, colorless and harmless solution based upon a nitrogen-phosphorus synergism. IMP-ST along with all the other BurnstopUSA formulas has a ph that is neutral.

When the correct quantity of IMP-ST is used there is no detrimental effect on the properties of the material. It does not cause any mildew or saline sediment. The fabric color is not affected and it retains its original hand.

IMP-ST is very user friendly; being non-toxic it does not irritate the skin or eyes. It is safe for humans, animals and aquatic life. These factors make it suitable for residential use and commercial application.

Examples of Usage:

IMP-ST can be used by textile manufactures to treat rolls of fabric before shipment. It can also be processed with binders in order to treat needle felt carpet and several kinds of membranes. It can also be applied by commercial laundry services for their customers that require a flame retardant treatment. Residential application to personal clothing is easy as well.

IMP-ST can be applied by adding to the rinse cycle, dipping, padding or spraying, the excess product can then be removed for reuse by whatever method is convenient. The material can then be mechanically dried or allowed to dry naturally.

IMP-ST can be purchased in quantities ranging from gallon size for residential use to large containers for industrial use. Unopened it can be stored for a year or longer.
